At their meeting on October 22nd, 2014, the Board of Directors of the Virginia Beach Education Association were pleased to have Virginia Beach City Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence and his Chief of Staff Kevin Hobbs as their guests to field questions from board members regarding Spence’s entry plan and issues such as class sizes, employee health insurance, and the professional treatment of educators in VBCPS.
“I’m pleased that the board had the opportunity to sit down to both discuss issues important to VBCPS employees and to also get to know Dr. Spence better,” said VBEA President Trenace Riggs. “Every discussion I’ve had with Dr. Spence has been positive, and the discussion at the board meeting was no different.”
