The Virginia Beach Education Association serves as a voice for education, advances the cause of education for all individuals, promotes professional excellence among educators, works to gain recognition of the basic importance of the professional educator in the learning process, protects the rights of educators, advances the interests and welfare of educators, secures professional autonomy, unites educators for effective citizenship, promotes and protects human and civil rights, and obtains for its members the benefits of an independent and united teaching profession. Virginia Education Association and National Education Association: Users submitting data for the purpose of joining the Virginia Beach Education Association are also submitting data that will be used to create memberships with the Virginia Education Association and National Education Association. Virginia Beach City Public Schools: Users submitted data for the purpose of joining the Virginia Beach Education Association are also submitting data that may be used to fulfill membership reporting or dues deduction processing requirements of Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Virginia Beach Education Association Political Action Committee of Educators (VBEA PACE): Users submitting data for the purposes of joining the Virginia Beach Education Association may have their contact information, including name, home address, home phone number, and their home/personal email address (non @vbschools.com email addresses) shared with the Virginia Beach Education Association Political Action Committee of Educators (VBEA PACE). This data is used to share information regarding opportunities for members of the Virginia Beach Education Association to participate in non-partisan, issue-driven, political action supporting public education, including volunteer opportunities, VBEA PACE endorsements, and voting for VBEA PACE endorsed candidates.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Users with Website Accounts: Data for users with accounts on our website is retained indefinitely. Data associated with user accounts may be updated or deleted. In order for a user account to exist, data such as email address, username, and password is required. The user account may also be deleted, deleting the data associated with the account.

Submitted Content: Submitted content and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Form Submissions: Data submitted via forms on our website are retained for as long as required to accomplish the purpose of the submitted data. Data no longer deemed necessary to store on the website will be deleted periodically.
